My thinking about what it means to be “filled with the Spirit” has undergone some changes since going to a church with a “significant Charismatic dimension.”
Accountability groups were something that I wasn’t very sure of at first, but now they are a staple of my Christian walk.
I’ve come to a conviction that the gospel is much more critical and central than I had previously understood.
My wife and I both grew up in Baptist churches and no longer attend one. We are now attending Providence Church of Pittsburgh which is part of the Sovereign Grace Ministries family of churches. Their doctrinal positions would agree decently with traditional protestant churches. But they’re not very “Baptistic.”
